What to Expect
Fractional Skin Resurfacing uses laser energy microbeams that affect both the outer and inner layers of skin. The body’s natural healing process then creates new tissue to replace that area, resulting in healthier, younger skin. Most treatments last no more than an hour. Your provider may recommend a single treatment or a series of sessions.
Many people resume regular activities that day; more aggressive procedures may require several days of healing. Most people experience some discomfort during the procedure, which is minimized with the application of a topical anesthetic cream. Mild pain management during the procedure and/or for a few days sometimes is recommended.
Afterward, expect to experience redness, warmth and swelling at the site, which usually lasts a few days. Your provider will discuss potential side effects and post-treatment expectations with you. Please note, a consultation is required prior to having the procedure performed. Please call (864)233-8088 to schedule.
