J. Cart de Brux Jr., M.D., FACS
Dr. Cart de Brux was born and raised in Charleston, SC. After finishing Davidson College, he returned home to the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his General Surgery training at Orlando Regional Medical Center and is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. He also completed a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in New Orleans, followed by a Craniofacial Surgery fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. During his fellowship, Dr. de Brux concentrated on post-traumatic facial reconstruction in adults and children, post-cancer reconstruction, congenital differences (including cleft lip and palate as well as craniosynostosis) and state-of-the-art facial cosmetic surgery. Special interests include craniofacial surgery, pediatric plastic surgery, microsurgery, breast reconstruction, nasal reconstruction and rhinoplasty, and facial cosmetic surgery. Dr. de Brux and his wife, also a native of South Carolina, reside in Greenville with their children.
James L. Fowler, III, MD, FACS
Dr. James Fowler, a native of Greenville, earned his B.S. in biology from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Fowler completed five years of general surgery training at Greenville Hospital System followed by two years of plastic surgery training at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga. He completed an additional year of fellowship training in hand surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Dr. Fowler joined GHS Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics in 2005 and currently serves as Division Chief and Director of the Facial Trauma Network. He is board certified in Plastic Surgery and holds professional memberships with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, South Carolina Medical Association and Greenville County Medical Society. Special interests include cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast and body, as well as facial reconstruction.
Renée Cato is a licensed medical aesthetician who received her certification from the Institute of Cosmetic Arts. She has provided a variety of treatments to many clients over the past 16 years. Cato has formal training in laser treatments to address unwanted pigment, age spots, vascular issues, redness, unwanted hair, fine lines, wrinkles, photo rejuvenation and skin tightening. She is passionate about her work and in meeting the needs of each patient. She continues to participate in ongoing education to stay on the leading edge of aesthetic advancements in skin care.
Maggie received her aesthetics license in 2012. Prior to her aesthetic training, she attended the University of South Carolina and graduated with a BA in Entrepreneurial Management with a minor in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism. Maggie is experienced in clinical facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels and IPL/Laser hair removal. At Carolina Aesthetics she loves to make the client experience as relaxing and beneficial as possible in order to achieve optimal results.
Noelle Monteleone has been practicing aesthetics since 1996. Having skin problems of her own influenced Monteleone to exhibit compassion for others with challenging skin issues. Over the past 20 years, she has witnessed the skincare industry grow exponentially. As a result, Monteleone strives to stay current on the latest skincare ingredients and modalities. She holds a certification in chemical peels from the Institute Der Med and the Vitality Institute, along with laser certification from Sciton. In addition, she has training in Lamprobe, dermaplaning and micro-needling techniques.
Melissa has been a licensed aesthetician since 2007 and a licensed massage therapist since 2010. She is experienced in facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, IPL Hair Reduction, Photorejuvenation, Fractional laser resurfacing, TheraClear Acne Therapy, special occasion and photography makeup, makeup lessons, custom foundation makeup blending and Swedish Therapeutic massage. She is also EPA certified to teach their “Sunwise” sun safety program. Melissa is a self-proclaimed product junkie who enjoys studying product science and designing custom regimens to help others achieve optimal results with their skin.
Jessica received her Aesthetics license in 2007. Prior to joining Carolina Aesthetics, she worked as a Medical Aesthetician/Laser Technician at another medical spa in Greenville, SC for over 5 years. She is experienced in performing many non-invasive cosmetic treatments including IPL treatments, laser hair removal, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, dermaplaning and skin tightening procedures.
At Carolina Aesthetics, Jessica loves using her experience to make clients feel comfortable with themselves while improving the health of their skin. She believes that healthy skin plays an important role in an individual’s overall health including mind, body and emotional well-being.
